Luskey Family Summer Fun!

Teacher: Room 102

Welcome to Room 102- Mrs. Luskey’s Class!
Dear Families,
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and learning along side of your preschooler this year. For over twenty-five years I have been fortunate to be involved in the education of children. Whether they are building with wooden blocks, dressing up in costumes or digging in the dirt, I believe that the play of childhood is brimming full of discovery and so much learning. I feel strongly that an attentive teacher can foster thoughtful engagement that can excite and delight young learners.
In addition to teaching young children, this fall I will be finishing coursework for my Masters of Education in Family Studies and parent education license at the University of Minnesota. This past spring I was fortunate to work in the ECFE program in ST. Louis Park with children ages 2-5 and their parents. I hope that I can serve as a resource this year for your parenting and child development inquires no matter how big or small. I am passionate about fostering a warm and welcoming community of learners in all stages of life.
My spouse, Matt, and I live in St. Louis Park and have three children. Reid is 20 and is studying art at the University of Minnesota. Madeleine is 17 and is a senior in high school and Jacob is 13 and in 7th grade. We also live with Dixie, our sweet dog, and Cosmo, our silly and energetic cat. When I am not in the classroom, I can be found in the kitchen creating nourishing family meals, digging in our garden patch (in good weather!) and walking or biking the lakes.
It’s going to be an exciting year full of memories in the making!
All my best,
Marisa Luskey
